Allergy Information
From 13th December 2014, all restaurants are required to identify 14 allergens in the food supplied in accordance with "The Food Information Regulations 2014". These allergens are:
- Cereals containing Gluten
- Peanuts
- Nuts
- Milk
- Soya
- Mustard
- Lupin
- Eggs
- Fish
- Crustaceans
- Molluscs
- Sesame seeds
- Celery
- Sulphur dioxide
Complying with these regulations takes a significant amount of time and effort (and money). Whilst we understand the impact on these allergy sufferers, we are conscious that we cannot significantly compromise our service to 99.9% of our customers for the benefit of 0.1%. Our food is prepared from fresh ingredients to order to achieve exceptional quality meals. It is not simply a matter of checking the ingredients on the packet.
Key members of our staff are able to help you chose approriate dishes. To support that service they have access to a database identifying allergens present in each of the dishes on our menu. This database has also been extended to identify dishes suitable for Vegans, Lacto-ovo vegetarians, as well as Flexitarians.
