About Thailand

During the last twenty five years, I have visited the American continent, parts of Africa, and a number of countries in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. Visiting these countries and living/working in some of them has been an incredible experience and have left lasting impressions. However, there are only a few countries I want to revisit over and over again. One of these is Thailand.

Over the last decade, I have met hundreds of people in our restaurants who have visited Thailand. All of them loved Thailand, and I have yet to meet anyone who has not. We also have many visitors to our restaurants planning to take a holiday in Thailand. Thailand has something special to offer to all types of tourist from beaches and bars, jungle treks to cultural tours and exotic crafts. You can find accommodation to suit all pockets from backpackers hostels to the most luxurious hotels in the world.

One question we are often asked is what is the best time of the year to visit Thailand. This depends on what your preferences are and the type of holiday planned. Generally, December, January and February are the coolest months and are often dry - the peak holiday season for western visitors. April is very hot and dry but worth a visit for the Thai New Year celebrations. Rain, usually in June/July and September cools the weather down a little but increases the humidity. Like our weather, these weather patterns do change from year to year.

These few pages cannot begin to provide a guide to Thailand, but I hope that they will wet your appetites sufficiently to encourage a visit Thailand. If you cannot afford the time to visit Thailand, why not visit one of our restaurants instead. We cannot offer the sunshine, but our food is the next best thing!
